Obituary For Zach Ryan Ballard

Zach Ryan Ballard, 40, of Liberty, MO passed away Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 1, 1980 in Lubbock, TX the son of Jackie Ballard and Heather Norman.

Zach loved to use his sense of humor to make others laugh; he was HILARIOUS. He loved to see smiles on people's faces. He liked the show Lost, SNL (the old episodes), old comedies, doing impressions and spending time with family and friends. Zach showed genuine care and concern for any human being and was truly one of a kind.

Zach is survived by his father; one sister, Brin Spaunhorst (Joe), of Jefferson City, MO; two nieces, Lyla and Allison of Jefferson City, MO; and his "brothers" he grew up with and considered his real brothers (you all know who you are).

Zach was preceded in death by his mother.

There will be a private service for friends and family at a later date.

Please remember there IS help out there if you are struggling with thoughts of suicide. 1-800-273-8255 is the 24/7 hotline and 741741 is the 24/7 text line. There are people who care about you even when you think they may not. Rest in Peace, Zach.

Memorial contributions are suggested to "DeFeet" - Suicide Prevention in Pettis County, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Brin, Jack, and family: I'm sorry I'm just learning of Zach's passing. Zach had an incredible, wild sense of humor and wit. He could impersonate just about anyone and do it so well! Growing up and being at the house to see Brin, Zach was always up to something - At the time, Zach seemed like the pesky big brother, but I know he was always looking out for Brin's well-being and loved her dearly.

Dearest big brother Zach, There are certain things only a sibling knows and understands , and you were that person for me. You were always so understanding , empathic and always said the right things at the right times. I remember you always standing up for me when we were younger and making sure nobody tried hurting me, especially when we walked to school from 4th Street and later in life when I was dating. Thank you for always being the only one who shared certain memories with me and always making me laugh. You are gone but NEVER forgotten. I'm so sad that you're not with us any longer but I feel you are finally at peace and able to rest. Love you so much Zach.

Zach, You were always such a loving and passionate soul. You loved many, before yourself. You always had a lightning wit, and so amazingly funny! I always thought that you should be on SNL, or do stand-up comedy! My heart is broken, and I will think of You every day, and Love You Always...the World has lost an amazing Light and Soul. I Love You, My Son...Rest in Peace...Much Love, Dad
