Obituary For Windy Johnson Jones

Windy Winn Johnson Jones, age 42, of Sedalia, MO passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in St. Charles, MO at the home of her loving sister, Vanessa Johnson, surrounded by her family. She was born on September 19, 1973, in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of John and Rebecca Gregory Johnson, of Warsaw. She grew up in Warsaw, MO, graduated from Warsaw High School in 1991. She graduated with a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Lindenwood University. She was employed at Precision Foods in St. Louis before becoming Human Resources Manager at Cargill in California, MO. She accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and was a member of New Home Baptist Church in Warsaw, MO. On April 30, 2011, she married the love of her life, Maurio Cortez Jones and became step mom to Kade and Keelly Jones. She enjoyed traveling, the beach, camping and being with family. Family trips were her joy. She was preceded in death by her paternal Grandparents Alvie and Norma McGill Johnson and maternal Grandparents Donald and Peggy Carr Gregory. She is survived by her husband, Maurio; two step sons, Kade Jones of the home and Keelly Jones, a student at the University of Chicago. Her mother and father, John & Becky Johnson, Warsaw. Sisters – Melissa (Ralph) Easter, nieces Sarah and Caitlin Easter, Loree (Jason) Pals, nieces Emilee (Ethan) Jackson, Haylee and Rylee Pals; great nieces Janee, Lillee, Natalee, all of Warsaw. Vanessa Johnson, St Charles, MO. Mother-in-law, Phyllis Jones, Sedalia. Many more family and friends. A home going celebration will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at New Home Baptist Church in Warsaw with Pastor Jeff Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia. A private burial will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery following the celebration service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to New Home Baptist Church in care of the funeral chapel.
