Obituary For Wilma Faye Murphy
Wilma Faye Murphy, 78, of Sedalia, MO passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at Sylvia G. Thompson Resident Center, Sedalia. She was born on June 25, 1943, in Knoxville, TN the daughter of Arlie Ray Miller and Lucille (Dunkle) Miller, who preceded her in death.
On June 5, 1960, in Milan, MO she was united in marriage to Charles Dumont Murphy, who preceded her in death on November 22, 2020.
Faye enjoyed photography, painting, quilting, and collecting bluebirds. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. Faye will be greatly missed by all of her family.
She is survived by three children, Alice F. Beeson (Dennis) of Centerville, IA, Monty R. Murphy (Kim) of Blackwater, MO, and Danny J. Murphy (LuAnn) of Hazelton, IA; five grandchildren, Alex Beeson, Aaron Beeson, Adam Beeson, Kyle Murphy, and Derrick Murphy; six great-grandchildren, Ayden Beeson, Kennady Beeson, Hadley Beeson, Alexis Beeson, Zander Cooprider, and Weston Murphy; three brothers, Gene Miller, George Miller, and Carl Miller; four sisters, Lucille Barnes, Debbie Harvey, Betty Davis, and Jane Ann Price.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Arlie Ray Miller, Jr.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Dennis Beeson officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be Derrick Murphy, Alex Beeson, Aaron Beeson, Adam Beeson, Kyle Murphy, and Dennis Beeson.
The honorary bearer will be Dennis Roberts.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, MO.
