William Thomas Darrah Jr.

William Thomas "Tom" Darrah Jr, 92, of Sedalia passed away October 29, 2021. He was born on August 19, 1929 in Sedalia the son of William Thomas Darrah, Sr. and Helen (Buckley) Darrah who preceded him in death.

On November 21, 1959 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Josephine Ronspiez who preceded him March 24, 2020.

Tom was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parrish St. Patrick Church. He was 1947 graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He served his country honorably in the United State Marine Corp. during the Korean War. Tom was self employed. He worked on CB radios, Hamm Radios, TV's, and installed antennas. He owned a Triumph-Bridgestone Motorcycle dealership. Tom loved work for the Railroad doing Morse Code, teletypesetting, and ticket sales. He enjoyed refereeing volleyball, umpiring Little League baseball, and was an avid tennis player. Tom was very social and loved meeting new friends through out his life.

Survivors include three children, Linda Grandfield (Joe) of Sedalia, Laura Martin (David) of La Monte, and Thomas Darrah (Michelle Hendricks) of Sedalia; six grandchildren, Amy, Chris, Casey, Jeff, Ambur, and Damien; ten great grandchildren, Gavin, Ryan, Michael, Joshua, Ein, Tessa, Shelby, Logan, Edwurd, and Braxton; a sister, Jane Brinker of St. Louis, MO; a brother-in-law, Bob Ronspiez of Sedalia; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Ilene Todd.

A graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia with Deacon Arvol Bartok officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will by Clyde Schwermer, Kenny Hall, Tom Yurasich, Bob Ronspiez, Doug Rogers, and Gary Deuel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Parrish in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
