Obituary For William Henry Vinson, Jr.

William Henry Vinson Jr., 84, of Sedalia passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. He was born on October 19, 1933 in Sedalia, MO the son of William Henry Vinson Sr. and Violet T.P. (Collins) Vinson, who preceded him in death.

Bill was an auto mechanic, owning and operated D & D Auto in Grand Junction CO for 22 years. He then came back to Sedalia and opened City Auto at 3rd & Hancock, retiring in 2006. He served his county honorably in the U.S. Army during Korean Conflict. Bill was an avid hunter, enjoyed circuit racing and loved NASCAR and singing karaoke. He lived most all of his life in Sedalia.

Survivors include, six children, Colleen Cain, Robin Wuebbles, Debra Bambino, Darrell Vinson, Donna Vinson, and Belinda Vinson-Dietzel-Coffey; three siblings, Dale Vinson, Randy Vinson, Nancy Crocker; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter; and a very special friend of many years, Barbara Rader.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Vinson, two sisters, Delores Bozarth, and Dianna Clifford.

A memorial graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Chris Cantrell officiating. Military honors will be conduct at the grave site by the Missouri Army National Guard Honors Team.

The family will receive friends Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Urn bearer will be his son, Darrell Vinson.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sedalia VFW Post #2591 in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
