Wilbert Dwayne Jones

Wilbert Dwayne Jones, 80, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at his home. He was born on June 9, 1943, in Lebanon, MO, the son of Willard L. Jones, Sr. and Opal (Jackson) Jones, who preceded him in death.

In 1977, he was united in marriage to Janet Burton, who resides in the home.

Wilbert had a passion for working on heating and air conditioning units. He worked as an HVAC Technician for ACR of Sedalia and on the side for himself, friends, and family. He enjoyed listening to country music, playing his guitar and singing. Wilbert especially loved spending time with his family and greatly loved his grandchildren.

In addition to his partner, Janet, he is survived by four children, Brandy West (Kirby) of Moberly, MO, Dwayne Jones (Annette) of Mounds, OK, Danny Jones (Brittany) of Warrensburg, MO, and Andrea Jones of Warsaw, MO; twelve grandchildren, Nakiyah, Sean, Zak, Jacoby, DeNysha, Jordan, Alyson, Ethan, Eva, Blake, Maddox, and Abel; six great-grandchildren, Kendrick, Emersyn, Nolan, Elvina, Hugh, and Addi; his four-legged fur baby, "Scooter"; two brothers, Wilford Jones of Ozark, MO, and Tommy Jones of Rock-A-Way Beach, MO; three step-sisters, Donna, Mary, and Lois; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Wilbert was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Jones, Jr.

There will be a celebration of life gathering for family and friends held at a later date by the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
