Wesley Bert Riesland

Wesley Bert Riesland, 82, of Sedalia passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 surrounded by his loving family at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. He was born on June 13, 1935 in Sedalia, the son of Elmer and Annie T. King Riesland, who preceded him in death.

Sixty-one years ago on May 26, 1957, in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Wanda M. Brown, who resides of the home.

Wesley worked for Tallman Co. in Sedalia for 35 years as warehouseman and truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, watching and feeding the squirrels and birds, and tinkering around in his garage. Wesley especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Wanda, he is survived by three daughters, Judy Harrell (Keith), Tammie Weber (Jim), and Kathy Carpenter, all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Danyale Ragus, Christie Harrell, Tisha Sparks, Ashley Norman, and Tara West; eight great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Lingle; and a son-in-law, Tom Carpenter.

A memorial graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Pastor Donnie Hayworth officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
