Obituary For Wanda Riesland

Wanda M Riesland, 82, of Sedalia , MO passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1939 in Cooper County, MO the daughter of Oren S Brown and Mabel A (Mueller) Brown, who preceded her in death.

On May 26, 1957 in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Wesley B Riesland, who preceded her in death on June 9, 2018.

Wanda worked as a tax preparer, typist and clerk for Loraine Jackson for over forty years. She later worked on her own as a tax preparer from home. In her younger years she enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her family, going fishing, cooking, and loved taking care of the animals outdoors. Above all else, she was proud of her family and loved to spoil all her grandchildren. Wanda was known for having a big heart for others and would be willing to help in anyway she could.

Survivors include three daughters, Judy Harrell (Keith), Tammie Weber (Jim), and Kathy Carpenter, all of Sedalia; five grandchildren, Danyale Ragus, Christie Harrell, Tisha Sparks, Ashley Norman, and Tara West; eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Brown and a sister, Myrtle Adams; and her step-father, Chester Wackiff

A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2021 at Crown Hill Cemetery with Rev. Albert Reine officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
