Wanda Kay Miller

Wanda Kay Miller, 66, of Sweet Springs, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday July 9, 2019, at Sweet Springs Villa. Wanda was born on November 16, 1952, in Sweet Springs, and was the daughter of Steven and Thelma Velma (Hall) Iliff, who preceded her in death.

Wanda was an adventurous spirit, who loved fishing and camping, and who loved helping people. A self-described Prayer Warrior, one of her greatest comforts was found in praying for others in their times of need. A natural musical talent, whether on the accordion or at the keyboard, Wanda could play anything back once hearing it and in fact, spent many an afternoon playing for the residents at the Sweet Springs Villa or for the congregation at their church - Harlen and Evelyn on vocals! As much as anything, Wanda loved a good, all night long game of Mario, in her robe and slippers and sitting criss cross applesauce - with a cup of coffee in one hand and the controller high above her head in the other. She was a true disciple of her Faith in the Lord our Savior.

Survivors include a son, Harlen Miller (Julie) of Sedalia; a daughter, Evelyn Robinson (James) of Sweet Springs; five grandchildren, including Elisha and Dylan Miller, and Dakota, Patrick and Justin Nall; as well as great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by ten siblings, including, Kenneth Iliff and Velma Denney.

A Celebration of Life service will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019, at Rea Funeral Chapel, in Sedalia.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Sweet Springs Villa or to the Youth Ministry of the Sweet Springs’ Assembly of God Church, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
