Obituary For Wally Frank

Waldene "Wally" Drent Frank, 76, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on May 18, 1938 in Prairie View, KS the son of Leonard and Dena (Drent) Frank.

On June 4, 1960 he was united in marriage to Lois Bones, who preceded him in death on December 17, 2004.

Wally attended Kansas State University, where he received a full ride scholarship to play basketball. He graduated from Kansas State in 1960, with his Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Wally loved to watch all sports, although basketball was his favorite. He enjoyed being outdoors, horses and hunting. He was a member and past president of the Sedalia Lions Club, and attended First United Methodist Church, Celebration Center of Sedalia.

He is survived by three daughters, Lori Krenek (Dan) of Prosper, TX, Kelly Shepard (Brian) of Lee’s Summit, MO and Stephanie Zink (Robert) of Columbia, MO; one sister, Vera Simmons (Ben) of Novato, CA; six grandchildren, Lyndsay, Olivia, Weston, Chanea, Harrison and Aaron.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Jim Downing officiating.

Family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, April 22, 2015, also at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be in Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, KS.

Pallbearers will be Bill Richardson, Dale Shull, Dean Purchase, Floyd Thomason, Gary Harris, Mike Stephens and Ron Camirand. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Wally Frank Memorial Fund - KSU Foundation, in care of the funeral chapel.
