Virginia Newman

Virginia Mae Newman, 96, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, November 19th, 2015 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. She was born on June 23rd, 1919 in Boonville, MO, the daughter of Fred and Fannie Mae Robertson.

On January 26, 1939 in Sedalia, MO, she was united in marriage to Charles Newman, who preceded her in death.

Virginia enjoyed reading, walking, and watching TV. She was an active member of Broadway Presbyterian Church for over 50 years.

She is survived by one son, Charles S. Newman, Jr. of Sedalia and his wife of 57 years, Nan Newman; three grandchildren, Michael Newman and his wife Kendall of Rock Springs, WY, Scott Newman and his wife Kathy of Columbus, GA, and Pamela Bush and her husband Fred of Hopkinsville, KY; ten great grandchildren; and thirteen great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edgar Robertson.

A cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Broadway Presbyterian Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
