Obituary For Virginia Margaret Conaway

Virginia Margaret Conaway, 79, of Marshall, MO passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Fair View Nursing Home in Sedalia. On September 27, 1942, she was born in Rolla, MO, the daughter of Willie Ivy Turner, who preceded her in death, and Florence Margaret (Hainline) Turner, who resides in Marshall, at 101 years old.

On July 16, 1989, at Memorial Baptist Church, Pettis Co., MO, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Conaway, who resides in the home.

She worked for Kim Originals and Around The Fireside in her early years. She babysat at her home for many years and sold Avon. Virginia was an avid quilter for many years. She loved working in the garden, canning, and making jelly. Virginia also loved flower gardening; roses and hydrangeas were her favorite. She loved dressing up for Halloween, dancing, putting puzzles together, baking, and trying new recipes. She was a huge plant and animal lover. Virginia was well known for her fried chicken, cinnamon rolls, and homemade bread rolls. She was a very giving person, always putting others before herself. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, and friend.

Along with her husband and mother, she is survived by four children, Dennis Seifner of Marshall, Cindy M. Seifner of Sedalia, Tina Seifner of Sedalia, and Johnny Thompson of Sedalia; three grandchildren, Keyshya and Nathan Seifner, and Austin Chewning; two great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Mary Rossman, Michael Turner, Wannetta Barker, Nova Blue, Cheryl Turner, Marvin Turner, and Susan Turner; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.

The family will receive friends at the chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Bosley, Junior Bosley, Robbie Ramey, and Steve Fornshell.

Friends and family may make memorial contributions to Memorial Baptist Church in the care of the Funeral Chapel.
