Obituary For Vicki Abey

Vicki Jolene (LeMaire) Abey, 59, of Smithton passed away Friday, February 26, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 13, 1956 on Whiteman Air Force Base, the daughter of Ray Joseph and Rosa Earlene Riley LeMaire, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Sedalia Church of God where she was involved in weekly bible study. She was very active with the ladies of her church and enjoyed going out to eat after church with her church family. Vicki enjoyed spending time and working behind the counter at LeMaires Cajun Seafood, spending time with all of her grandchildren (real and adopted). Vicki loved her coffee so much that she carried her own coffee carafe. She was a graduate of State Fair Community College with an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Vicki worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Bothwell Regional Health Center after graduating and later at Pekin Memorial Hospital in Pekin, IL and St. Francis Hospital, Peoria, IL. Survivors include her companion of 16 years, Rick Coberly of the home; two sons Mark Abey and his wife Jessie of Houstonia and James Abey and his wife Audrey of Cole Camp; a daughter, Sheila Abey of Warrensburg; eight grandchildren, Jaylon, Aevery, Kayten, Christian, Blake, Julissia, Ella, and Zackary; two brothers, Rikki LeMaire and his wife Angelicka of West Germany and Joseph LeMaire of Sedalia. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Randell Baugus officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donal Buckner, Domanic Bradford, Brett Sorell, Tim Riley, Joe Forsee, and Derrick Forsee. Honorary bearers will be grandson, Christian, Jaylon, Blake, and Zackary. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
