Obituary For Tylar Ray Simon

Tylar Ray Simon, 32, of Sedalia, MO passed away Friday, December 10, 2021, at his home. He was born on December 28, 1988 in Sedalia the son of Nolan Ray Simon of Sedalia, and Brenda Kay (Hilt) Stafford of Green Ridge.

Tylar was a 2007 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. He worked as Kitchen Manager at Mazzio's Pizza in Sedalia. Tylar had a passion for bowling. He started bowling at the age of 5 and was on a bowling team called the "Awesome Possums". Tylar bowled through high school and won scholarships and state tournament titles. He enjoyed playing baseball, an avid Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan and storm watching. Tylar loved music and enjoyed playing his bass guitar. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and being funny.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his step father, Cary Stafford of Green Ridge; a brother, Brock Simon of Farmington, MO; maternal grandmother, Shirley Ransdell of Green Ridge, MO; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bud Ransdell; paternal grandparents, Ellwood and Mary Lou Simon.

Funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, December 20, 2021, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Johnny Streit officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Burial will be at Green Ridge Cemetery, Green Ridge, MO.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Woods, Jonathan Williams, Jacob Cover, Dakota Keele, Ernest "Sonny" White, and Casey Curry.

Honorary bearer will be Justin Meisner.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
