Obituary For Tommy Royer

Thomas "Tommy" Leon Royer, 59, of Sedalia passed away on Friday, August 1, 2014 at University Hospital, Columbia. He was born on August 9, 1954 in McAlester, OK a son of Burl B. Royer, who preceded him in death and W. Wynerna Joplin, who survives of McAlester, OK.In May of 2002, he was united in marriage to Judy Points (Collins), who survives of Sedalia.Tommy enjoyed dirt track races and Nascar. He served his country honorably in the US Air Force. Tommy was a T-38 mechanic at Whiteman Air Force Base. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church Celebration Center, Sedalia.

He is survived by three children, Amanda Burton (Joey) of Michigan City, MS, T.J. Royer of Bell Buckle, TN and stepdaughter, Angela Kaiser of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Will and Gray Burton, Jarrett Royer and Shain Kaiser; three sisters, Sharon Smith (Bill) of Wilburton, OK, Karen Powell of Hartshorne, OK and Beryl Dean Waggner of Hartshorne, OK.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Jerry A. Collins, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center, Sedalia with Pastor Jim Downing officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Honorary bearers will be T.J. Royer, Kevin Kaiser, Shain Kaiser, Joey Burton and J.W. Renno.

Memorials are suggested to The Missouri Veterans Home, Warrensburg in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
