Tom Duffey

Tom Duffey, 71, of Green Ridge, MO passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home. He was born on May 16, 1942 in Joplin, MO, a son of R.L. Duffey and Maude Ann Malloy, who preceded him in death.

He was an over the road truck driver and had worked for Sweet Springs High School. Tom enjoyed building and riding motorcycles.

He is survived by four children, Kelly Duffey of Houstonia, Kathy Lair of Marshall, Carolyn Denny and her husband Doug of Green Ridge, and Matthew Duffey and his wife Jennifer of Mission, KS; one step daughter, Jackie Pruett of Green Ridge; one sister, Arlis Spencer of Concordia; ten grandchildren; five step grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Angelle Sue Duffey; one grandson, Lavin Jade Duffey; and one nephew, Lance Thomas Edwards.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday September 7th, 2013 at the Festival Center (formerly, the Lion's Club - 322 Spring St.) in Sweet Springs, Missouri.
