Timothy Wayne Callahan, 22, of Green Ridge passed away April 12, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia as a result of an auto accident. He was born on April 3, 1996 in Newport News, VA the son of Stephen Callahan, who resides in Green Ridge and Marna Sitnic, who survives.
Tim was a 2014 graduate of Green Ridge High School where he was active in FFA, basketball, and baseball. He served his country honorably in the United States Army for 3 years. He was deployed to Afghanistan two times and Iraq once during his military service. Tim enjoyed deer hunting, target shooting, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He especially loved spending time with his friends and was loved by many.
In addition to his dad Stephen, he is survived by a sister, Kristen Fleener and her husband Michael of Chillicothe, MO; two nieces, Katelynn and Kenzie Fleener; a nephew Cameron Fleener; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Karen Callahan of Sedalia; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. April 19, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church, Green Ridge, MO.
Military Honors provided by the VFW Post 2591 and the US Army Honors Team will take place at 5:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to Missouri State Veterans Home, Warrensburg in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
