Obituary For Terry Jacob Davis

Terry Jacob Davis, 65, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at his home. He was born on July 30, 1957, in Sedalia, the son of Jacob Davis and Betty (Sommers) Davis.

On June 24, 1988, in Hughesville, MO, he was united in marriage to Melanie Ann Wheeler, who resides in the home.

Terry worked at Waterloo (Stanley Black & Decker) for 44 years. He was a 25-year member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #129, Kansas City, MO, and The Magic Circle in Columbia, MO. Terry was known for performing magic shows in the Sedalia and Kansas City areas. In addition, he enjoyed mentoring young up-and-coming magicians. Terry also enjoyed playing tennis and fast-pitch softball in his younger years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. Terry especially loved watching and collecting movies and magic memorabilia.

Along with his wife and mother, Terry is survived by a son, Trevor Davis (Sarah) of Sedalia; a daughter, Shelbi Davis of Sedalia; a grandson, Rowan Davis; a sister, Gerry Coffelt (Kenny) of Sedalia; a brother, Tony Davis of New York, NY; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Terry was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Diane Davis, and a nephew, Jacob Davis.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2022, at Crown Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Jeff Stegner officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring #129, Youth Scholarship Program in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
