Susan L. Menges

Susan L. Menges, 82, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on October 24, 1941, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Kenneth Latshaw and Eunice (Wheeler) Latshaw, who preceded her in death.

On June 6, 1968, in Decatur, IL, she was united in marriage to Jack Menges, who preceded her in death on June 22, 2023.

Susan was a member of the Abundant Harvest Worship Center. She owned and operated I AM Country Creations in Sedalia for thirteen years. Susan's artistic talents were truly remarkable, as she was an amazing artist and interior designer. She assisted her husband, Jack, for many years in the operation of the Heart of America Re-distribution Center. Susan was a respected home maker, house wife, and stay-at-home mom raising her children. She loved gardening and working in her yard, always keeping the landscaping in perfect condition.

Susan is survived by a daughter, Lissa Brown; two sons, Keith Bartolazzi and wife Debbie, Peter Bartolazzi and wife Geralyn; grandchildren, Josey, Maximus, Elizabeth, David, Michael, Christopher, Shelley, Nicholas, Faith Ann, Christina, Peter, and Amanda; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Susan was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Bartolazzi; a sister, Sally Syfert; and two brothers, Don Latshaw and Michael Latshaw.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Abundant Harvest Worship Center, with Pastors Tony and Merry Kroeger officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Abundant Harvest Worship Center in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
