Susan Louella Busker, 72, of Battlefield, MO, passed away Monday, January 28, 2022, at her home. On May 23, 1949, she was born in Cherry Point, NC, the daughter of the late Grover Lee and Edna York.
On July 19, 1968 she united in marriage to Gary L. Busker, who preceded her in death.
Susan, a graduate of Smith-Cotton High School, enjoyed an entire life filled with many outstanding achievements and a loving family. One of her many passions was competing as a contract bridge player. She is recognized as a Life Master by the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League). After reaching this outstanding achievement, she taught others who shared the same passion.
As a Beta Sigma Phi Sorority member, she was bestowed The Order of the Rose. Susan enjoyed many other social and professional interests over her lifetime. She spent many years serving others as a Real Estate Broker with Century 21 and ERA Realty.
Her greatest passion of all was her family. Mother of three Michelle L. Spoorleder, Angela D. Meyer, Gary L. Busker Jr., and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom survive her in death. Susan spent a lifetime dedicated to guiding her children and helping them realize their goals and dreams. She was their greatest cheerleader and will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Ed Rippee officiating.
She will be buried with her husband in Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
