Steven Mark Franken

Steven Mark Franken, 64, of St. James, MO, passed away on June 14, 2024, at Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, MO. He was born on March 8, 1960, in Harrisonville, MO, the son of William George and Naydne Franken, who preceded him in death.

Steve was a Smith-Cotton High School graduate of 1977. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1981. Then, he attended State Fair Community College and received his associate degree in Computer Science. He enjoyed boating, water skiing, and any lake activities. Steve enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed working on his computer, riding the unicycle, and was a genius on the Rubik's Cube.

Steve is survived by his three siblings, Linda Prout of Springfield, MO, John Franken (Dee) of Kansas City, MO, and Carylon Erfurth of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Pat Franken of Sedalia, MO, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Besides his parents, Steve is preceded in death by his brother, William Dale Franken, and stepfather, Bill Young.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, 3510 W. 16th St., Sedalia.

The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO, with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force, VFW Post # 2591, and the Patriot Guard Riders.

Pallbearers will be Robert Franken, Jessie Erfurth, Keanu Evans, Mike Franken, Jack Franken, and Glenn Moore.

Honorary bearers will be David Jacob Evans and Will Franken.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home in St. James, MO, in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
