Obituary For Steve Gardner

Steve Allen Gardner, 59, of Sedalia passed away Friday, June 28, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on July 20, 1953 in Clinton, MO, a son of Walter and Frances (Mittenburg) Gardner.

On May 15, 1987 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Wyatte, who survives of the home.

He was a member of The Brotherhood of Maintenance Of Way with the Union Pacific Railroad before becoming a welding instructor at State Fair Community College VoTech. Steve loved playing golf, poker, and reading. He enjoyed raising horses on his family ranch, family gatherings, and spending time with his grandsons.

He is survived by two children, Tesa Jenkins and her husband Mike of Sedalia and Lucas Gardner and his wife Sarah of Kansas City; two grandchildren, Hunter and Fisher Jenkins; one sister, Barbara Gardner Bishop of Ashland and one brother, Frank Bishop of Sedalia.

A Celebration of Life, with gathering of friends and family will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are suggested to The Gardner Welding Scholarship in care of the funeral chapel.
