Stanley Edward Ulmer, 84, of Sedalia, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on September 14, 1934 in Warsaw, MO, the son of Pearl and Elsie (Davis) Ulmer, who preceded him in death.
On July 7, 1956 in Sedalia he was united in marriage to Mary C. Brosch, who resides in the home.
Stan worked as an automotive sales representative at Bryant Motors for many years, at the Missouri State Fairgrounds, and at Mid Mo Tractor Implement. He was most notably known for being an auctioneer with Jerry Ondracek. Stan especially enjoyed the farm life. His horses, raising and selling cattle and woodworking were a special part of his life. Stan was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Steve Ulmer and wife Jan and Kevin Ulmer all of Sedalia; a grandson, Justin Ulmer; a great granddaughter, Madyson Ulmer; and a brother L. L. "Dinky" Ulmer and wife Alice of Warrensburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two infant daughters; a brother, Clay Ulmer; and two sisters, Leona Rose and Juanita Pate.
A prayer service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Father Mark Miller officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Brosch, Jereme Brosch, Justin Ulmer, Josh Rhoads, Aaron Walter, and Lance Gerken.
Honorary bearer will be Mark Klein.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Missouri State Fair Foundation, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
