Stacey Lynn Smith

Stacey Lynn Smith, 47, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1975 in Sedalia, the daughter of Daniel Murray and Linda (Preisendorf) Murray, who reside in Sedalia.

Stacey was a 1993 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School. She attended Encounter Church in Sedalia. Stacey retained her LPN Degree in 2001 from State Fair Community College. She worked as an LPN for dialysis clinics in Florida. She also worked for Bothwell Regional Health Center and many nursing homes during her nursing career. Stacey loved going camping in Ozarks, riding roller coasters, and on adventures with her children in her younger years. She was an avid Denver Bronco's fan. Stacey especially loved spending time with her daughter and grandsons.

Along with her parents, Stacey is survived by her Fiance, Randy Martin of the home; three daughters, Chelsea Saxton (Alan) of Sedalia, Morgen Muths of Kansas City, MO, and Jensen Muths of Columbia, MO; a brother, Kevin Allen Murray of Sedalia; two grandchildren, Dallas Byrd and Harlem Saxton; a cousin Sean Balke (Cassie) of Sedalia.

Stacey was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Scott Murray; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Pastor Christopher Gray officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Burial will be held at a later date at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
