Reverend Sidney "Sid" K. Mabry, Jr., 73, of Sedalia left this earth and went to be with Jesus on December 12, 2014, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born in Sedalia on October 11, 1941, a son of Sidney "Sid" Keffier Mabry, Sr. and Violet A. Huffman, who both preceded him in death.
On June 20, 1959 in Sedalia, he was united in marriage to Barbara Billings, who survives of the home.
In Sids younger years, he and his father, traveled as evangelist for many years. He traveled and preached in 48 states. Sid and his wife loved singing and traveling together as the "Deliverance Time Singers", with their close friend, Nancy. They made a long play religious album of their favorite songs. He served as Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Church, Sedalia from 1985 until 1996. He also served as associate Pastor of Calvary Temple, Sedalia. He attended True Vine Church of God in Christ, Sedalia. Sid owned and operated Blessed Memories Monument Company from 1985, until his death. He enjoyed watching Jimmy Swaggart every evening. He also liked watching Nascar, football and baseball. Sid dearly loved his grandkids and great grandkids. He especially loved watching their ball games.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two children, Chris (Kim) Mabry of Sedalia, and Molly Mabry of St. Petersburg, FL; four grandchildren, Erica, Erin, Taylor and Bailey; five great grandchildren, Tayton, Zane, Ashleigh, Ryder and Hattie Belle; and one sister, Darlene (Theodore) Todd of Blue Springs, MO.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Sidney K. Mabry III; and a brother, Donald R. Mabry.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at True Vine Church of God in Christ, Sedalia with Elder W.T. Morris, Pastor James Rutledge, Pastor Randy Baugus and Pastor J.D. Reed officiating.
Family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 am until service time, at the church.
A private family burial will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Todd, Steven Pfannenstiel, Robert Green, Randy Vinson, Freddie Fletcher and Jim Potts.
Honorary bearers will be Theodore Todd, Louis Richey, Harvey Pace and Harry Cornine.
