Obituary For Shirley Ann Singer
Shirley Ann Singer, 89, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at EW Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center. On March 19, 1932, she was born in Sedalia, the daughter of William and Bertha (Busker) Shepard, who preceded her in death.
In 2006, she was united in marriage to Virgil Singer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John H. Heineman, who passed in 1996.
Shirley was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sedalia. She was baptized and confirmed on December 18, 1949 by Pastor Walter Strickert. Shirley loved the Lord and was very active in her church. She enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Shirley is survived by one son, Steve Heineman (Kathy), of Sedalia; one daughter, Cynthia Ross (Mark); four grandchildren, Tara Hubbard (Jeff) of Westminster, CO, Andrew Heineman (Britni)of Arvada, CO, Julie Fields of Sedalia, and John Ross of Columbia, MO; four great-grandchildren, Zane, Mason, Etta, and Ellee; and two siblings, Jack Shepard of Sedalia, and Helen Barry (Dean) of Independence, MO.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Shepard; and two sisters, Dorothy Lees and Norma Marcum.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Doug Dubisar officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the chapel.
Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Heineman, John Ross, Mark Ross, Mason Fields, Jimmy Ross, and Shon Stutes.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sedalia, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
