Obituary For Sherry Bradbury

Sherry Lynn Bradbury, 49, of Sedalia passed away May 9, 2016 at her home in Sedalia. She was born on October 24, 1966 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Walter and Shirley (Harms) Small, who survive of Higginsville, MO.

On April 27, 1991, in Higginsville she was united in marriage to Russell E. Bradbury who survives of the home.

Sherry graduated from Lafayette Co. C-1 in Higginsville in 1985 and from CMSU (now UCM) in 1989. For the past several years she worked for the Sedalia 200 school district. She loved to vacation with her family, including trips to NYC, Orlando, Orange Beach, and Nassau Paradise Island. She loved spending time at the beach and spending time with family and friends at Truman Lake. She also had a soft spot for cats and was very attached to all of her ‘kids in fur coats’ both inside the house and out. Sherry was absolutely devoted to her family and she enthusiastically cheered on her kids in dance, baseball, softball and all of their other pursuits. She would quickly tell you that her children were her greatest legacy and she was so very proud of both of them. She was an active member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Altar Guild.

Besides her husband she is survived by two children, Steven Bradbury and Sarah Bradbury both of the home; a brother, Michael Small (Cindy) of Parkville, MO and a sister, Kelly Heinen (Gary) of Kansas City, MO.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 14, 2016 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeremy Freeman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at the Church.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Steven Bradbury, Michael Small, Sarah Bradbury, Jennifer Langston, Eric Langston and Gary Heinen.
