Obituary For Sheila A. Johnson

Sheila A. Johnson, 60, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at her home on Monday, November 13, 2023. She was born on December 10, 1962, in Webb City, MO, the daughter of Johnny Spicer and Anna S. (Pequignot) Buckner, who preceded her in death.

Sheila was a 1981 graduate of Webb City High School. She worked in the deli at Walmart in Sedalia and as a Spark and DoorDash driver. Sheila enjoyed crocheting, traveling, and listening to CNN on the radio. She loved her pets, "Boss Man" and "Shadow" and her grand cat, "Tee-Tee." Shelia enjoyed talking with her dear friend, Melvin, and his son, Marcell Porter. Sheila had a special bond with her daughter. Not only were they mother and daughter, they were best friends.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Cross of Sedalia; two brothers, Walter Furry of Joplin, MO, Frankie Furry (Diane) of Shelton, WA; a step-brother, Mike Spicer of Joplin, MO; a sister, Molly Johnson (Mike) of Neosho, MO; and a step-sister, Jackie Yeager of Joplin, MO.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by a brother, David V. Furry; maternal grandparents, Frankie A. and Flossie M. Buckner; and paternal grandparents, Ben and Lucille Tandy.

A celebration of life gathering of family and friends will be announced by the family at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
