Sharon Kay Nothwehr, 67, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at E.W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. She was born on October 18, 1956, in Independence, MO, the daughter of Russell Dee Tunis and Dorothy Louise (Clark) Tunis, who preceded her in death.

On November 10, 1973, She was united in marriage to Danny Dean Nothwehr in Sedalia, Missouri, who resides in the home. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 10, 2023, with their son, Jason, and his wife, Amber Nothwehr.

Sharon and Danny are devoted Christians who love spending time with each other, their son Jason, grandchildren, and other family members. Sharon used to co-own and operate a Tuxedo & Bridal Business and a Lady's Clothing Business with her husband.

Sharon was passionate about reading and studying the Holy Bible, particularly the King James Version. She enjoyed teaching, traveling out West, attending auctions and rodeos, and collecting items such as Hallmark Christmas ornaments, Santa Clauses, bears, and porcelain dolls.

They are members of the Church of Christ in Sedalia, Missouri, and have also been members of the Kansas Expressway Church of Christ in Springfield, MO, and the Lincoln Church of Christ in Lincoln, Missouri.

In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by a son Jason Nothwehr (Amber) of Hughesville, MO; four grandchildren, Dakota, Alana, Ta'Lia, and Madison; a brother, Terry (Jenea) Tunis of Sedalia; a sister, Brenda Roberts of Oceola, MO; a brother-in-law, Randy (Michelle) Nothwehr of Cedar Rapids, IA; a sister-in-law, Renee (David) Curtis of Green Ridge, MO. As well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Tunis, and a nephew, Bradley Roberts.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family on Tuesday, October, 22nd at 3:00pm at the Church of Christ, 2540 N Kansas Expressway, Springfield, MO 65803.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter, 2420 S. New York Ave. Sedalia, MO, 65301, or in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Sharon will be missed by her family, many friends on Facebook, and her many loving sisters and brothers in Christ. May god grant comfort and peace to those who mourn her passing.
