Sharon Mae Pauls, 75, of Smithton, MO, passed away at her home on February 15, 2024. She was born to parents Charles and Betty Kurtz in Kansas City, MO, on January 17, 1949.
Sharon attended numerous schools growing up but finally graduated from Morgan County R-1 in 1967. Right after, she had two children, a son and a daughter. She then dedicated 35 long, hardworking years working for Neet Products. After retiring there, she worked part-time as a cook and server at her grandchildren's school in Smithton, MO.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Kenneth Pauls of Smithton, MO; a brother, David Kurtz of Florence, MO; two children, a daughter, Joell Ingersoll of Sedalia, MO, and a son; seven grandchildren, Robert, Greg, Richie, Joshua, Bradley (Whitney), Kathleen (Michael), and Veronica; and many great-grandchildren, friends, her dog, Jasper, and her beloved Cockatiel, Squeaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Kurtz, and her cherished canine companions throughout the years, Scooter, John, Wilbur, and Gilbert.
Sharon's passion for family was immeasurable, and she found immense joy in watching her grandchildren grow and indulging her great-grandchildren. Beyond her family, she had a deep affection for unicorns, crocheting, nurturing her garden, and marveling at the hummingbirds that frequented the feeders she diligently maintained. An avid animal lover, she found fulfillment in rescuing and pampering countless dogs from the local shelter, extending her nurturing spirit to all her furry companions.
The family plans to honor Sharon's remarkable life with a celebration of life graveside service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at Florence United Methodist Church Cemetery, in Florence, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, honoring Sharon's enduring legacy of love and compassion.
Sharon Mae Pauls will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her unwavering love, radiant spirit, and profound impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
