She was a 1959 graduate of Sabetha High School in Sabetha, KS. In 1974 she graduated from the Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education. She was an avid ELVIS fan and collector, anything and everything ELVIS! Also, she was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs fan! How about those CHIEFS! She got to watch the Chiefs become the Super Bowl LIV Champions in 2020! This was a highlight on her bucket list! The casino was a pastime she enjoyed. Slot machines were a must for the trips to the casinos. However, at all family gatherings, cards and dice were the entertainment! Shopping was a way of life for her! She loved to window shop and browse the aisles in circles at Wal-Mart for hours at a time. Reading was a hobby she continued throughout her years. She enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of all, she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and a continuous educator.
