Obituary For Sharon Faye Copas Quick

Sharon Faye Copas Quick, 76, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2022, at her home in Sedalia, with her daughter Lori by her side. She was born on February 8, 1946, in California, MO, the daughter of Wesley Elmer and Mary Ellen Copas.

Sharon moved to Sedalia when she was in the first grade. She attended Whitter Elementary School and Smith-Cotton High School. She was three months short of graduation, her stubbornness prevented her from graduating, but later she obtained her GED.

Sharon gave birth to two beautiful daughters, Tammy Sue and Lori Ann. On November 18, 1972, she married Ralph Quick. Their marriage was blessed with a son, Shaun Wesley Quick.

Throughout Sharon's life, she worked for Swift, Rival Manufacturing, Bothwell Regional Health Center, Oats, Inc., and until her death, worked for Happi Home Health Care.

Sharon's family was the most important thing in her life. She loved being a mom, wife, grandma, sister, and friend. Her favorite person in the world was her great-granddaughter Karson, or "Pud," as she called her. She enjoyed watching her grow up, playing with her, taking her for walks around the yard, and getting kisses and hugs from her. Karson knew Sharon by "Faye Faye" and loved her so much. Sharon also enjoyed outings with her sisters, making jelly, quilting, and collecting Fenton Glass.

Sharon is survived by her daughter Lori of Sedalia; her son Shaun Quick (Diane) of Springfield; two sisters, Mary Lou Hogsett, Princeville, IL, and JoAnn Greer, Grain Valley, MO; one brother Goalder Copas, Moberly, MO; five grandsons, Cody Copas (Nicole), Sedalia, MO, Lane Quick, Nixa, MO, Brennan Quick, Nixa, MO, Zachary Baestle (Sasha), Des Moines, IA, Daniel Rockaman, St. Louis, MO; two great-grandchildren, Liam Bartlett, Michigan, and Karson "Pud" Copas, Sedalia, MO.

Sharon is preceded in death by her husband Ralph; her daughter, Tammy Sue Copas; two sisters, Elda Dotson and Linda Collins; three brothers, Bobby Copas, Dean Copas, and J.W. (Dub) Copas.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Joel Sherman officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Cody Copas, Lane Quick, Brennan Quick, Daniel Rockaman, Chad Copas, and Joshua Dotson.

Honorary bearers will be Liam Bartlett, Karson Copas, Angie Howard, Kimmy Wilcox, Elizabeth Copas, JoJo Wilcox, and Sharon's nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the local Autism Chapter.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
