Sharon Darlene Jurgensen, 80, of Sedalia, MO passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on July 15, 1941, in Kentucky the daughter of James Hopper and Marjorie (Shipley) Hopper, who preceded her in death.
In March of 1980 she was united in marriage to Benjamin Jurgensen, who resides in the home.
Darlene loved to cook for her family and loved camping and exploring in the mountains out west. She worked as a waitress and evening manager at the Alibi Inn for many years.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three children, Cindy Hopewell (Steven) of Sedalia, Jeffrey Collins (Colleen) of Jefferson City, MO, and Allen Collins; three brothers, Dale, Gardell, and Rocky Hopper; four sisters, Tamara Wellman, Nanette Phelps, Candy Vantassel, and Melanie Jensen; five grandchildren, Nick, Joshua, Michael, Christian, and Carie; and several great grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, November 8,2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating.
There will be no formal visitation.
Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
