Sarah June Zimmerman, 74, of Sedalia, MO passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at her daughter's home in Knob Noster, MO. She was born on June 14, 1942 a daughter of Curtis and Sarah (Bohon) Powers, who preceded her in death.
On July 6, 1963 she was united in marriage to, Charles Zimmerman, who preceded her in death.
Sarah enjoyed her cats and all animals in general. She was a professional seamstress for many years and could make anything. She worked at Town & Country Shoes, Rival, and Wal-Mart. She also enjoyed reading, needlepoint and dancing with Larry. She was even known to waltz with a cat from time to time.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie S. Busker (Tim) of Knob Noster; a son, C. Curtis Zimmerman (Tammy Hills) of Gladstone, MO; two sisters, Shirley Mulvey of Otterville, and Ellen Meinert of Warsaw; three brothers, Charles Powers of Windsor, Dean (Ellen) Powers of Warsaw and Wayne (Francie) Powers of Excelsior Springs; a grandson, Jason W. Busker of Knob Noster; a granddaughter, Jamie C. Busker of Sedalia; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her long time companion Lawrence (Larry) Sidney Amato.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Russ Slocum officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.
Pallbearers will be David Mulvey, Richard Mulvey, Paul Busker, Jason Busker, Jamie Busker and Tammy Hills.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
