Ryan Alan Raines

Ryan Alan Raines, 33, of Nelson, MO passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 6, 1985 in Sedalia, MO the son of Michael Brent and Barbara (Schoemig) Raines who reside in Nelson.

He graduated from Northwest High School in 2004 and earned an Associate's Degree in Auto Mechanics from State Fair Community College. He worked several years at Fischer's Concrete and Lea's Trucking Service. He enjoyed being a dad, uncle, farming, tinkering on old tractors, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Besides his parents, survivors include his son Ryder Raines; step-daughter Leah Neubaur; brother Roger Raines (Agnes) and sister Katie Cornine (Brandon) both of Nelson; one nephew, and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert and Louise Raines and maternal grandparents, John and Harriet Schoemig.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel in Sedalia, MO with Rev. Bill Cook, officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior to service time.

Burial will be at Miller's Chapel Cemetery, Sedalia, MO.

Pallbearers will be Myron Raines, Grant Newton, Nathan Killion, Justin Thomas, Dustin Brown, Austin Lea, and Rodney Raines.

The honorary bearer will be Ryder Raines.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Ryan's son, Ryder, in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
