Ruth Edwards

Ruth Marie Edwards, 91, of Sedalia passed away March 22, 2015 at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on February 19, 1924 in Alton, MO a daughter of George and Mae Viola (Johnson) Waggoner. In Key West, FL in 1943, she was united in marriage to Charles Edwards, who preceded her in death in 1975. Ruth grew up in Urbana, MO and graduated from Urbana High School in 1942. She was a former bookkeeper for Interstate Studios and a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Sedalia. Ruth enjoyed fishing and reading. She is survived by two sons, Dennis Edwards of Livington, TX, and Lynn Edwards of Sedalia; two brothers, Carl and Paul Waggoner both of Idaho Falls, ID; ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Thomas and Neal Edwards; two sisters, Florence Noland and Ina Mae Waggoner; two brothers, Roscoe and Merle Waggoner. Ruth's family and friends will hold a committal service at Highland Sacred Gardens Cemetery, Sedalia, at a later date.
