Ruth Ann Hall

Ruth Ann Hall, 96, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia. She was born on December 11, 1927, in Pikeville, KY, the daughter of Oliver Younce and Emma (Bentley) Younce, who preceded her in death.

On January 7, 1949, she was united in marriage to Herbert Hall, who preceded her in death on June 30, 1990.

Ruth attended La Monte United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and cleaned local farm homes. Ruth enjoyed gardening and taking care of her pets. Ruth especially loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son Paul Hall and his wife Louise of La Monte; three grandchildren, Jessie Elwell (Brad), Jack Hall (Katie), and Justin Hall (Katee); and five great-grandchildren; a brother, Oscar Younce of Warsaw, MO; a sister, Ruby Martinez and her husband Johnny of Albuquerque, NM; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Younce of Knob Noster, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ruth was preceded in death by seven siblings, Venis, Bruce, James, Hollie, Wiley, Harland, and Frank Younce.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Rea Funeral Chapel, 3510 W. 16th St., with Pastor Deb Galey officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

The burial will be at Payne Cemetery, Dunksburg, MO.

Pallbearers will be Paul Hall, Jack Hall, Justin Hall, and Brad Elwell.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Payne Cemetery in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
