Ruby Mae Wilkinson, 77, of Sedalia, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1939 in Cole Camp, MO, the daughter of Lawrence Weinberg and Mildred Eckhoff, who preceded her in death. Ruby was baptized on August 13, 1939 and confirmed on March 29, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, MO. She was a member of the Cole Camp High School Class of 1957. On May 28, 1966 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cole Camp, she was united in marriage to George Farrant Wilkinson, who preceded her in death. Upon moving to Sedalia, she joined Our Savior Lutheran Church where she continued to strengthen her faith in God and developed many lasting relationships. Ruby is survived by one son, Anthony S. Wilkinson (Denise) of Sedalia; one brother, Junior Weinberg (JoAnn) of Cole Camp; one sister, Emma Lou Case (Dean) of Cole Camp; two grandchildren, A.J. and Paige Wilkinson; a great-granddaughter, Serenity; four nephews; Michael Case, Steve Case, Brian Case, and Barry Weinberg; two nieces, Lawrie Knox and Christel Dixon, and seven cousins. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Russell Case, and her beloved Lhasa Apso, Cookie. Ruby worked at Town & Country Shoes until she started her real estate career in 1971. She worked with Coldwell Banker Monsees Realty from July 1973 until present. She was the #1 agent in Sedalia for 15 consecutive years and closed approximately $200 million in real estate throughout her career which helped her earn the prestigious awards of Coldwell Banker Presidents Circle and Presidents Elite, which is only given to the top 1% of agents in the nation. Ruby was an active supporter of the Pettis County Relay for Life, and was the top fundraiser for the organization for many years. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and loved to share that passion with many in the community by delivering in person. She was a big Chiefs, Royals, and MIZZOU fan and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved to travel, and cherished her trips to Las Vegas once or twice a year with her dear friends Tony and Pat Monsees. Memorial Services will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, Jan.5, 2017 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sedalia, MO, with Rev. Christopher E. Kellogg, Sr. and Rev. Andrew Tessone officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 pm, Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Honorary bearers will be her esteemed friends and colleagues of many years at Coldwell Banker Monsees Realty. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church or the Pettis County Relay for Life in her name.
