Roy was one of the nicest men I ever met. He would do anything to help you and always ready to talk. He will be missed by a lot of students and parents who had the pleasure of knowing him. ❤️

I met Roy while working my first job. I was given the task of learning a regular customers name and remembering it when they came in the next time. I remember asking him what his name was and he gave me a look of confusion. (After all it was only a small coffee and he wouldn't need to wait for that.) A few days passed and then he came back. I remember greeting him," Good morning Roy, getting the usual?" The look of excitement and giant wave from across the lobby was well worth the initial awkward encounter. From there a friendship started. Not shortly after Roy learned my name, learned who my family was and me his. We talked about upcoming plans and I even shared new about expecting my first child. When I moved away he continued to ask my family how I was doing. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. His bright small and giant waves will be forever missed in many lives. I gained a friend all within the few minutes every day it took to pour a cup of coffee. The look of excitement he gave always stayed with me.
