Roy Charles "Chuck" Alexander, 70, of Sedalia, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025, at his home. He was born on February 6, 1955, in Sedalia, MO, the son of Roy Lewis Alexander and Shirley J. (Davidson) Alexander, who preceded him in death.

Chuck grew up in Sedalia, where he attended Smith-Cotton High School until his junior year. He later moved to Bonne Terre, MO, and graduated from North County Senior High in 1974. An active and adventurous young man, he enjoyed playing soccer and baseball. He was also a dedicated member of the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout at just 15 years old.

Following high school, Chuck enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served honorably as a firefighter from 1977 to 1981. His firefighting career continued at Kansas City International Airport, Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, and Higginsville State Hospital.

Beyond his professional life, Chuck had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, reading, and gardening. A skilled cook, he was known for preparing delicious meals. He found joy in solitude and the beauty of nature, possessing an impressive ability to identify birds simply by their songs.
