Rose Mary Fleming, 80, of Sedalia passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born on March 5, 1937 in Bahner, MO the daughter of John M. and Agnes S. (Seifner) Westermier , who preceded her in death.
On March 30, 1954 in Sedalia she was united in marriage to James L. Fleming, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2010.
Rose was a homemaker and truly excelled at it. She was a devoted wife and dedicated mother. Along with her husband Jim, She enjoyed being a member of the West Central Riders motorcycle club and the Retread motorcycle organization. Together with her husband, she loved traveling around the United States on their Honda Goldwing. Rose enjoyed spending her Wednesdays at the Sedalia Senior Center eating lunch and playing cards. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She lived most of her life in Sedalia.
Survivors include two sons Allen Fleming (Dena) of Sedalia and Kelly Fleming (Laura Sue) of Barnesville, GA; five grandchildren, Jeremy Fleming, Megan Fleming (Chris), Donna Albin, Lacy Ogletree Worthy (Jeremy), Jeremy Ogletree (Tara); four great grandchildren, Brantley, Laura Grace Worthy, Riley and Kyler Albin; a brother, James Westermier of Mora, MO; a sister, Janie Westermier Woolery (David) of Sedalia; two sister-in-laws, Mary Lou Westermier of Mora, MO, Florence Westermier of LaMonte, and Racene Westermier of Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Jim and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers Matthew Westermier, Tony Westermier, Leo Westermier and Joe Westermier; two sisters, Edna Reusch and Agnes Walker.
A mass of christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Mark Miller C.PP.S officiating.
Family visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday August 25, 2017 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark Watring, Doug Lynn, Joe Lynn, Chris Woolery, Craig Westermier and Dustin Gehlken.
Honorary bearers will be Dale Reed, Jack Shepherd, David Woolery, John Hockaday, and Lowell Coe.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Senior Center.
