Roberta Kay Newman, 60, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, November 22, 2018 at her home in Sedalia. She was born on January 6, 1958 in Sedalia the daughter of Robert G. Sr. and Nellie Kathleen (Shoemaker) Newman, who preceded her in death.
Kay worked as a Certified Nurse Aid and Ward Clerk for Bothwell Regional Health Center for over 23 years. She enjoyed scrap booking, fishing, and going to Branson's Silver Dollar City. Kay especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Christopher Stoney (Stephanie) Buckeye, AZ, and Jeffrey Stoney of Sedalia; four grandchildren, Camren, Nathan, Kiley, and Ayden; a brother, Michael Newman of Live Oak, CA; a sister, Gail Coleman of Westbrook, ME.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clinton Stoney; and a brother Robert Newman, Jr.
A celebration service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Brother, Greg Shoemaker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
Burial will be at Salt Fork Cemetery, Blackwater, MO.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family in care of the funeral chapel.
