Robert Earl Lynch, 62, of Sedalia passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on April 30, 1954 in Levenworth, KS the son of Claude L. Lynch, who resides in St. Joseph, MO and Catherine O. (Davis) Lynch, who preceded him in death on January 30, 1993. On May 26, 1973 in St. Joseph, MO he was united in marriage to Russet L. Geiler, who resides of the home. Robert was a member of Lifepointe Church, Sedalia where he served as Elder. He worked as a dispatcher for Duke Manufacturing for 18 years before retiring in August 2015. He was a former member of Full Circle Motorcycle Association. Robert love riding his Harley, serving his community, helping others in need and especially spending time with his family and friends. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army stationed in Ft. Riley, KS. Besides his wife Russet and father Claude, he is also survived by three children, Robbie Lynch, Shane Lynch (Lenea), and Angel Lynch; three sisters, Donna Thorne (Emmett), Delorse Geiler (John), Kay Boone (Danny) all of Sedalia; a brother, Jim Lynch (Kathy) of St. Joseph, MO; six grandchildren, Shyayne, Shane, ShayLee, Brandon, Terrance, and Carter Lee; four step grandchildren, Ryan, Alyssa, Juss, and Kaitlyn. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Lifepointe Church, Sedalia, with Pastor Rusty Thomas officiating. Full Military honors will be conducted by Sedalia VFW Post #2591 and the Warrensburg Army National Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary bearers will be Cory Taber, Mike Hedrick, Jay McMillin, Mark Watring and Bryan Cook. Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Heart Association in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
