Robert "Bob" E. Kowalski, 81, of Sedalia, MO, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born on July 13, 1943, in Sedalia, the son of Henry Kowalski and Mary (Paxton) Kowalski, who preceded him in death.
Bob's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his country. He served honorably in the United States Army from 1961 until 1964, stationed overseas in Germany during that time. His service was a testament to his character and commitment. Among various business adventures in his life, he retired from the Boeing Company at the age of 55. Bob spent his retirement mowing his lawn and caring for his pets.
Survivors include three daughters, Patti Fitzpatrick, Karen Zullig (Jeff), and Jaclyn Kowalski; a son, Brian Kowalski; three grandsons; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph Kowalski and Henry Kowalski; and a sister, Florence Hayworth.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernie Kowalski and Ricky Lindsay.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor John Hanson officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the chapel.
The burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, with full military honors by the United States Army.
Pallbearers will be Chris Kowalski, Matt Kowalski, Barry Pabst, Garnet Kowalski, Mike Hayworth, and Jim Hayworth.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sedalia Animal Shelter in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
