Obituary For Robert Kenyon, Sr.

Robert David Kenyon Sr, 74, of Green Ridge, MO passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born on April 9, 1946 in Watertown, NY the grandson of Glenn H. Cole and Mae (Edgar) Cole, who preceded him in death.

On August 2, 1969 in Sackets Harbor, NY he was united in marriage to Pamela L. Cardinal who resides in the home.

Bob was raised by his grandparents in Adams Center, NY. After graduating high school, he served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam conflict. He worked for a small motor manufacture as a manufacturing engineer. Bob traveled to Hong Kong and Juarez, Mexico to set up new manufacturing plants.

Bob was very creative and could design and build anything. He enjoyed raising and showing race ponies. Bob especially loved being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing with his son. Later in life, he built his own 1932 Coupe hot rod with his son and grandsons in mind. He loved his grandsons and always made sure to keep them supplied with hunting and fishing equipment.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, JR Kenyon; two grandsons, Kole and Zane and their mother, Amanda Kenyon all of Sedalia.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 24, 2020 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dan Hankins officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Navy and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg MO Veterans Home or to Crossroads Hospice in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
