Robert Gene Newman

Robert Gene (Bob) Newman Jr., 56, of Sedalia passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at his home. He was born on February 6, 1962 in Sedalia, MO the son of Robert Gene Newman Sr. who preceded him in death and Nellie K. (Shoemaker) Newman, who resides in Sedalia.

On May 11, 2001, in Lexington, MO he was united in marriage to Evelyn F. Jones, who resides of the home.

Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, sprint car races, planting a garden, and especially loved spending time with his family, friends and most of all his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife Evelyn and mother, he is survived by a son, Steven Newman of Sedalia; two daughters, Jeccica Gunn (Mark) of Sedalia, and Tracy McDonald of Alexander, ND; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Dereck, Natalya, Jamenson, Micah, Jaiden, and Maverick; a brother, Mike Newman (Tracy) of Live Oak, CA; two sisters, Kay Newman of Sedalia and Gail Newman, the state of Maine.

A celebration of life service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Greg Shoemaker officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
