Obituary For Riley Garrigus

Riley Nicole Garrigus “Dot”, age 16, of Sedalia passed away April 08, 2017 at her home. She was born on August 4, 2000 in Sedalia, the daughter of Ralph D. Garrigus and Yvette A. (Allen) Garrigus who reside in Sedalia.

Riley was a daughter, sister, friend and student. Riley was a sophomore at Smith-Cotton High School. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, football, spending time with family and friends. Riley always loved being outdoors it didn’t matter what it was; hunting, fishing, tubing, swimming, riding bikes. She loved animals of all kinds and her dream was to become a veterinarian.

In addition to her parents she is also survived by two brothers; Robbie Garrigus and his wife Lasey, Ryan Garrigus, maternal grandmother Patricia Allen, paternal grandmother Jerry Garrigus and nephew on the way all of Sedalia.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Joe Dennis Allen; and paternal grandfather, Ralph W. Garrigus.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at First United Methodist Church Celebration Center, Sedalia, with Pastor Jay McMillin officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at the Celebration Center.

Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Robbie Garrigus, Ryan Garrigus, Kaleb Harvey, Rick Harvey, Mark Allen, Dennis Allen, Jake Allen, and Kenny Bohmann.

Honorary bearers will be Jake Thomas, Hanna Colemon, Megan Lamb, Jasmyn Bayless, London Bayless, Emma Frisbee, Olivia Frisbee, Maleiah Parker, and Jazlynn Gillespie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Garrigus family in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
