Richard Barnes

Richard Eubank Barnes, 55, of Sedalia passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Bothwell Regional Health Center, Sedalia. He was born on December 14, 1958, a son of Houston Palmer Barnes, Jr. and Mary (Rimmel) Barnes.

Richard loved collecting and reading Marvel comic books. He enjoyed reading science fiction books and watching movies. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Sedalia.

Besides his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Pamela Rabitz (Lee) of Merritt Island, FL, Jennie Guerrini (Dale) of Sedalia; one brother, Houston P. Barnes III (Susan) of Columbia, KY; and four nieces and nephews, Joleen and Daniel Guerrini, Wendy Fowler, and Michael Rabitz.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Calvary Episcopal Church, Sedalia, with Father Harv Sanders officiating.

A gathering of friends and family will be held after services in the church’s common room.

Interment will be at the Calvary Episcopal Columbarium Wall.
