Rhonda J. Fielding

January 7, 1946 — October 6, 2024

Rhonda Jean (Walker) Fielding, beloved wife of Marvin R Fielding, died peacefully in Sedalia, MO, on October 6, 2024, surrounded by family. She was born in Creighton, MO 1946, the daughter of Chester W and Laura Leona (Chandler) Harris. After graduating from Shawnee Mission North HS in Kansas City, KS, she obtained a Business Administration degree from CMSU in 1970. She married John Robert Walker in 1970, whom she lost after only 4 years. She taught at State Fair Community College in Sedalia and later at UMKC in Kansas City, MO. She later worked as the Accountant for Town and Country Shoes before retiring. She was a member of Creighton Christian Church.

Rhonda is survived by Marvin, her husband of 46 years; stepsons, Steve Fielding (Cheryl) of Springfield, MO, David Gregg Fielding (Laurette) of St Charles, MO, and James Fielding (Lynne) of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by five granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, her sisters Jennalou Peterson (Dennis) and JoEllen Burris (Charles), both of Iowa and their families.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Larry Clint Harris, Leon Dale Harris, her parents, and her stepdaughter, Jeri Ann Fielding.

Rhonda was a wonderful life companion and a beloved grandmother.

The family gratefully appreciated the friendship and help of special neighbors Lorie and Eric. Rhonda's family also wants to thank the nurses of Three Rivers Hospice who cared for her.

There will be no visitation. A private service will be held at a later date.
