Randy Gene Crowell, 57, of Sedalia, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in Sedalia. He was born on November 17, 1958 in Sedalia, the son of Jack and Barbara (Roark) Crowell, who survive of Otterville, MO.
Randy was a 1977 graduate of Smith Cotton High School. He began his career with Wilken Music and eventually became "The Piano Man" in Sedalia and surrounding areas. His job brought him great joy because it enabled him to meet a wide variety of people while servicing their pianos. Randy's interests included music, muscle cars, and Harley. He had a love for God's handy work found in nature and animals that was only surpassed by his love for people A stranger was only someone Randy hadn't met yet. He loved to talk, joke, laugh and brighten the day of anyone he met. He attended Antioch Fellowship Church, Sedalia, and found great comfort in his church family.
Besides his parents, he is also survived by his long time companion, Sabrina Heaton of Sedalia; a sister, Angie Stuart (Johnnie, Jr.) of Otterville; maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Heineman of Sedalia; a nephew, Johnnie Stuart, III (Amanda) of Otterville; and a grand niece, Natalie Stuart of Otterville.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou McDaniel Ivey.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Antioch Fellowship Church, 507 W. 24th St. Sedalila, with Pastor Steve Graff officiating.
Randy's wishes were that his remains be cremated.
A family visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Fellowship Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
